It’s finally here and I can’t be more excited. HHSA has been working hard all year trying to build and contribute to the hip hop scene here at UW and in Seattle. It’s been great receiving all the constructive feedback and continued support which makes it really all worth it in the end. We are always trying to give back and build stronger ties with the community. Most of our events have been Free because of this and the summit is no exception. This year we are introducing an art show and knowledge panel. And I’m pretty excited for the knowledge panel. The panel features local community leaders and those that have been significant figures in the local hip hop scene. Bringing these people together under one roof to discuss hip hop is an amazing thing that I hope people actually realize. And for those wanting to know what hip hop is all about, this is such a great opportunity. Not to mention we’ll have a room full of all different kinds of hip hop heads and leaders, from dancers, artists, emcees, to students and local supporters.
